He changes not

They say that the only thing permanent in this world is change. But amidst the variableness of life, there is One that will not and cannot change.

All things have changed, all things are changing. The sun itself grows dim with age, the world is waxing old. But the satisfaction we have as a Christian is when amidst all the changes of this troublesome life, we can rest upon the truth ― “I am the LORD, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6)

With God is no variableness. His attributes before is still the same today, His power, His wisdom, His justice, His truth are all unchanged. He has ever been the refuge of His people, their help in times of trouble. He is unchanged in His love; He has loved His people with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). He loves us now as much as ever he did, and when all things have passed away, still His love will remain.

Precious is the assurance that our God changes not.
