quench your thirst

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
-John 4:13-14
What does an athlete need after a hard training? Water. Candies can’t help him quench his thirst. Water is irreplaceable.

7.11.11

He changes not

They say that the only thing permanent in this world is change. But amidst the variableness of life, there is One that will not and cannot change.

athlete in training

Train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
-1 Timothy 4:7-8

In order to excel in any sport, one must spend hours and hours in training. It is also true of artists and musicians. No one achieves excellence in any field without tremendous self-discipline, hours of rigorous training and a willingness to suffer great hardship in order to achieve the goals he has set for himself.

31.8.11

a Father's love

"YOU see the depths of my heart and you love me the same, YOU are amazing GOD"

Those line in the song Indescribable by Chris Tomlin made me feel God's overwhelming love for me.

4.8.11

hope

Don't think you don't have a great future. When you entrust your life to Jesus, God will make beautiful things out of you! - Its not about how bad you are but how good God is. Dont loose HOPE, hang on to Jesus.

5.7.11

youth fellowship- growing in passion

Fellowship Coordinator: Mary Jane CariƱo
(Meets every Sunday after Worship Service)

Growing up has never been easy. As a young plant is always in a danger of being eaten by a herd of goats, drown when watered too much, or wilt under the suns heat, so is a person caught in between childhood and adulthood. A youth may easily be influenced by his environment, may easily be overcome with problems or may rebel against too much attention.

16.6.11

according to His purpose

Reports about people committing suicide are mostly filling the news nowadays. And what's more shocking is that most of them are teenagers. Questions like 'What are they thinking to take away their life just like that?' and 'What could have we done to help them?' is troubling me. I mean, does life make any sense?

8.6.11

first

I'm not being too idealistic here, of course we also need other things to sustain us. But God promised us that when we put Him first he will provide all our needs (Matthew 6:33; Philippians 4:19). If we have God we have everything.

the chance

Can man live without God? Maybe some will answer yes, mostly will say maybe. But as for me...absolutely NOT. I believe that apart from Him, I can do nothing (John 15:5). Just like a branch in a vine, I need to stay connected to him to be nourished and to be able to bear fruit, fruit that will last.

6.6.11

self-esteem

“I’m ugly.” “I’m no good at sports. Not good in school either.” “How can anyone love me? I’m not worth it.” Have you ever thought this?

fear not

This is my life verse. This was the word given to me by God that assured me that He called me and I should not be afraid of what may happen to me.

love

We can only give what we have. We love because we have received love.

4.6.11

commitment

Commitment is the best word for this video. Commitment is analogous to obedience, loyalty, faithfulness and honesty. It is giving your life to someone or something whatever the cost, there is no turning back.

3.6.11

prepare or fail

THE EXPERIENCE

Last May 27-28, we went to Mt. Tabor Recreation Center in Tagaytay, the recreation center of our church, to have some tree planting. But of course, before we did the activity, we have to first prepare the place where we will plant.

everything to me

Most of us Christians say that God is everything for us. But is HE really everything for us? Can you still say it even if everyone have turn their backs on you or you feel like drowning because of problems or simply everyone and sometimes even YOU thinks you are a BIG FAILURE……..Can you still really say that GOD is your everything?

what's inside of you?

THERE IS ALONGING INSIDE EACH OF US. It is a longing that no one or nothing in this world can fill. It is a need that God created inside your heart from the very beginning. Only God can fill this longing. Only God can show you love like you’ve never been shown.

enough for my soul to live upon

There is One who is ever the same, and who is ever with us. There is one stable rock amidst the vapors of the sea of life. O my soul, set not your affections upon rusting, moth-eaten, decaying treasures, but set your heart upon him who stands forever faithful to you. Build not your house upon the moving quicksands of a deceitful world, but find your hopes upon this rock, which, in the middle of descending rain and roaring floods, shall stand immovably secure.

until the breaking of the day

24And Jacob was left alone. And a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. 25When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him. 26Then he said, “Let me go, for the day has broken.” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27And he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.” 28Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.” 29Then Jacob asked him, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is it that you ask my name?” And there he blessed him. 30So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been delivered.” 31The sun rose upon him as he passed Penuel, limping because of his hip. 32Therefore to this day the people of Israel do not eat the sinew of the thigh that is on the hip socket, because he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip on the sinew of the thigh.

-Genesis 32:24-32 (ESV)
